Arrival in New Delhi, India

Having cleared Customs and Immigration (all taken very seriously by the Indian Authorities - they will scan your hand-baggage again after you've cleared Immigration and before you get reunited with your checked-in luggage!! Hum?...).
As we emerged from the Arrival Hall, we were greeted by Raj, (our Tour Operator and Guide) and by Satbir, our Chauffeur. We were presented with a vibrant welcome garland of marigolds!

We were then driven to our hotel (Taj Mahal Palace in New Delhi) where we spent the afternoon resting to catch up on our poor night sleep; we had to get fit quick: there was so much we needed to see!

Satbir and Raj picked us up at 6.00pm. We drove around New Delhi, went for a meal and back to the Taj Mahal Palace.
