We left Jaipur around 9.00am. The drive to Agra took all day but it is fair to say that it wasn't in the slightest long and boring! We saw many interesting things on route as we crossed numerous small towns and villages. We also visited 2 sites on route:
images of the morning:
Jaipur to Agra

The Indian countryside, the ancient
Palace with its most
unusual water-reservoir...
The winner has to be the friendly
Indian lady
filling her urns with water. She kindly allowed us to watch her
and take photos while she
was loading the urn back onto her head!
One regret: not going back into Jaipur to see the Hawa Mahal before leaving, in the
morning...
Also, Fatehpur Sikri seemed like 'yet another Fort'...
(Admitedly,
we were very spoilt: unlike most group-guided tours following a set
itinerary, we were able to choose what to see and what to miss.
This means we got used to only stopping to see the sites we really wanted to
see... Maybe like 'spoilt children', we felt Fathepur Sikri had not been quite so
exciting in comparison!)
